Getting around our communities isn’t always easy. Many people in the Kings region don’t have access to a vehicle, or they may not be able to drive because of age, health, or other reasons. Reliable transportation makes it possible to get to work, medical appointments, school, shopping, and community events — it helps people stay connected and independent.

Identifying Regional Needs
We want to hear from you! Our consultation partner is conducting a short survey to identify transportation needs. Provide your input here.
Kings RSC is completing a Transportation Action Plan that will guide us toward tailored solutions for the region. This plan will:
- Take stock of all existing transportation options in the Kings region.
- Identify where there are gaps, especially for seniors, newcomers, and people without access to a vehicle.
- Explore how active transportation (like walking, biking, and trails) can connect with other mobility options.
- Provide practical recommendations — short, medium, and long term — for a more accessible, affordable, and sustainable transportation system.
The Action Plan is grounded in community input and designed to reflect the unique needs of the Kings region. With this plan, we’ll be able to chart a clear path forward — strengthening existing services and exploring new opportunities to keep our communities connected.
Why Kings RSC is Involved
As part of New Brunswick’s local governance reform, Regional Service Commissions were given a new responsibility: to plan and support regional transportation. This means Kings RSC plays a leadership role in making sure there are options that are accessible, affordable, and available for residents across our region
Transportation is more than a ride. It’s a way to strengthen our communities, reduce isolation, and support people in reaching the services and opportunities they need.
