Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) is not accepted in the green or clear bag and has its own collection and disposal procedures. These materials may be corrosive, flammable, poisonous, or consist of sharp objects.

How do I dispose of HHW?
We will be hosting a series of Mobile Eco Depot events in the region. HHW and large items are accepted at these events, at no charge.
The next events are:
- Feb 25th and 26th, 2026 from 12pm to 8pm
at Youngs Cove Irving, 10995 Route 10, Youngs Cove, NB - June 17th and 18th, 2026 from 12pm to 8pm
at Valley Waters Municipal Building, 10 Municipal Street, Norton, NB - October 24th, 2026 from 9am to 4pm
Location to be determined - December 16th & 17th, 2026 from 12pm to 8pm
