Following our initial Community Round Table series\, the Kings Regional Service Commission is hosting a follow-up session for the leadership and staff of regional non-profits and community-facing organizations. \nThis session is designed to move beyond broad discussion and into the practical space of coordinating service delivery and reducing duplication of effort across our region. By focusing on organizational coordination\, we can more effectively address critical gaps in food security\, housing\, and social inclusion. \nEvent Details \n\nWhen: April 28th | 10:00 am – 11:30 am\nWhere: Sussex Regional Library\nFormat: Casual networking and organizational coordination.\nRefreshments: Light refreshments will be provided.\n\nWho Should Attend? Staff\, board members\, and lead volunteers from organizations serving Butternut Valley\, Sussex\, Valley Waters\, and the Kings Rural District. This workshop is designed to offer clear\, practical guidance to help participants feel more confident and prepared\, whether they are entering the workforce\, considering a career change\, or exploring new opportunities. \nThe session focuses on building strong foundations and practical skills that can be applied immediately\, including: \nRésumé fundamentals\nHow to create a clear\, well-structured résumé that effectively highlights skills\, experience\, and strengths. \nInterview readiness\nStrategies for responding to common interview questions and communicating experience with confidence and clarity. \nPractical job-search tips\nGuidance on making a strong first impression at job fairs and interviews\, including preparation and professional presentation. \nThis workshop is part of a collaborative regional effort to support workforce readiness and help job seekers navigate the employment process with greater confidence. Participants are encouraged to attend ahead of upcoming job fairs or other employment opportunities. \nRegistration is being managed by the Sussex & District Chamber of Commerce.
